Family fun at the Fort!
This year’s Family Fun Day at Fort Purbrook looks set to be the best yet.
Taking place on Sunday 3rd July (11am-4pm), the event features an array of attractions and plenty of surprises. Adults and children of all ages will love the chance to see and take part in amazing activities and displays, including archery, dancing, pony rides, assault courses, climbing, birds of prey, model railways, classic cars, martial arts, reptiles, sideshows and much more.
Tina Penfold, one of the Fun Day organisers, said: “We love to see everyone enjoying themselves at Fort Purbrook. It’s a fantastic part of our history and the Fun Day is our chance to let people see it at its best.”
You’ll find the fort on Portsdown Hill with amazing views over Portsmouth. The entrance is on Portsdown Hill Road at the junction with Crookhorn Lane. PO6 1BJ for sat nav. Admission is £5 for adults and free for children.
Fort Purbrook is run by the Peter Ashley Activity Centres Trust, a charity dedicated to promoting activities, opportunities and personal development for all ages and abilities, as well as maintaining the historic buildings they use. Donations and sponsorship are welcome.
