In 1928, just as electricity was starting to become wide spread in the home, Eric Jackson opened the doors to his electrical shop in Waterlooville.
During the Second World War, a German fire bomb was dropped on the shop; smashing through the roof and starting a fire on the ground floor. Luckily, Eric was a local fireman and put out the flames before the fire took hold - and the business remained open.
Over the years, Waterlooville has seen many changes, but Eric Jacksons, located at the southern end of high street, has remained where it is and is now the oldest business in town. Eric’s son, Michael, became a partner in the business in the 1960s, and both worked together building a strong partnership until Eric’s death in April 1987. In 2004, Michael’s son Peter joined.
Now they are both working hard to keep up the tradition of trust and good quality electrical services for Waterlooville and the surrounding area.
