Come and join the team at Explosion for the next Paranormal Investigation on Friday the 19th September from 8pm until 2am, tickets are £25 per head.
Our investigations are led by staff, who are not only enthusiasts, but trained and experienced Paranormal Investigators who have extensive knowledge of our buildings and site history.
Explosion Staff have a particular passion for investigating the Museum and all of its extensive perimeter buildings. From sightings of apparitions, strange mists and footsteps to strange smells and feelings, we have had fantastic hunts here in the past.
As part of the evening visitors will be given a site tour of available buildings to investigate later in the night. These buildings include: -
- The Grand Magazine – original gunpowder storage magazine of 1771.
- C Magazine – A Victorian Explosives Magazine.
- Air Raid Shelter – a pre WW2 bunker on the Museum Green
- And many more locations, including our galleries.
- A Mine and Counter Mine store.
- The Mysterious Cottages
The team will then lead spook-seekers as they investigate our buildings and also assist as we hold Séances and Vigils throughout the night.
The Museum has obtained several items of equipment to aid investigators, these items include: -
- Dowsing Rods
- Electronic magnetic field sensors
- Infrared Thermometers
- Digital Voice Recorders
You will also be given an introduction to Ghost Hunting techniques with the Explosion Team. The team will also offer an introduction to using the ghost hunting equipment and make some of this equipment available to investigators.
