Recruitment Open Morning - The Directory Group

Following the success of the first recruitment event on 7th March, The Rowans Hospice is holding another open morning for anyone interested in working for an organisation with an outstanding reputation and a history of excellence and innovation in hospice care. Opportunities exist for trained and untrained nurses for the Ward and Hospice at Home to join our bank and also for Hospice Companion Volunteers and Complementary Therapists.

The recruitment event will be held on the morning of Saturday, 27th June 2015 from 10am and will include a brief presentation, interview and tour of the Hospice. To register your interest, contact Human Resources by email: for an application pack.

Erika Lipscombe, Matron at The Rowans Hospice, said: “We have vacancies for bank qualified nurses and health care support workers to work on the ward and within our Hospice at Home service. If you have excellent nursing skills and the desire and motivation to develop your skills in a specialist hospice environment then you could be just what we’re looking for. Above all, good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.”

Carol Milner, Director of Human Resources, said: “We simply could not exist without our dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteering is a very enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Just a small commitment of a couple of hours a week, a fortnight or a month could make a huge difference to a patient, either in their own home or at the Hospice.”
