Think pink during this Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Think pink during this Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Each year, over 55,000 women and 350 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK and with that means 11,500 women and 80 men will die from it – but Breast Cancer Now wants to change that!

Breast Cancer Now’s ‘Wear it Pink’ day is one of the UK’s BIGGEST fundraising events. Taking place on Friday 18th October, Wear it Pink encourages the UK to raise money and awareness by celebrating all things pink. Wear it Pink day is a great opportunity to rally friends, family, colleagues and classmates together to raise money through pink-themed activities like bake sales, fashion shows, quiz nights, sports days, coffee mornings and picnics in the park.

In April, Breast Cancer Now joined forces with Breast Cancer Care to create the UK’s largest breast cancer charity. So this year, along with funding life-saving research, your fundraising will also help them care for and support people affected by breast cancer.

One in eight women in the UK will face breast cancer in their lifetime, making it the most common cancer in the UK. With every bit of pink you wear, every pink party game you play, every pink cake you bake and every pink bucket you shake, you’re making a future without breast cancer possible.
