Calling All Budding Photographerscan You Help Us To Create A Calendar For Rowans Hospice Care - The Directory Group

Calling all budding photographers...can you help us to create a calendar for Rowans Hospice care?

Rowans Hospice Charity is delighted to announce that due to the success of the Create a Calendar for Hospice Care competition last year, the Charity is now looking for the next set of talented photographers to feature in the Rowans Hospice Charity 2023 Calendar.

“We had such a fantastic response to the Create a Calendar for Hospice Care Competition last year and were so grateful for the support it generated that we are excited to bring the competition back for a second year.  It is free to enter and we are encouraging supporters to take advantage of the gorgeous summer scenery, seaside and sunsets in our local great outdoors by capturing photos now, ready to submit via our website between Monday, 01 August 2022 and Sunday, 14 August 2022"  said Carol Milner, the Charity's Director of Income Generation.

Once all of the photos have been received, Chris Dixon, Chair of Horndean Camera Club will choose which shots go through to the Grand Final, ready for the public to choose their favourites. The twelve photos with the most votes on Wednesday, 31 August 2022, will be featured in the Rowans Hospice 2023 Calendar.

Carol Milner went on to say, "The calendar will go on sale across Portsmouth and South East Hampshire, as well as online, to generate vital income to support the future of the Charity. It costs in excess of £9 million pounds each year to provide the Hospice care services. Although the Charity receives some statutory support from the Government, almost 90% of the money needs to be raised through voluntary giving each year.  We are very grateful for the help and support the Charity receives from the local community and we look forward to seeing what wonderful photographs of our local great outdoors our supporters can capture."
