Special summer events include:
- 20–23 July: Build a Scarecrow, in partnership with Chawton Gardening Club's annual Scarecrow Competition. (Photo above) This year's theme is Movie Characters, with all materials provided.
- 13 August: A Birds of Prey Day with Hampshire Hawk Walks, featuring owls, hawks and falcons, including two baby barn owls.
- 23 August: Family pottery painting workshops in the Dyers Barn. (Ticketed separately)
- 25 August: An open-air performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream by Four Forty Theatre, ideal as an introduction to Shakespeare for younger audiences. (Ticketed separately)
