Rowans Hospice Fareham Shop Opening
The Rowans Hospice is delighted to be opening its 21st charity shop, located in Fareham. The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Mrs Susan Bayford, will officially open the shop in West Street at 2pm on Friday 11th April.
The Rowans Hospice already has two shops in the borough of Fareham, one in Titchfield and one in Portchester, both opened by the current Mayor of Fareham, but the desire to have a shop in Fareham town centre has resulted in the charity obtaining this prime location. The Trading Company is continuing its program of expansion to ensure a sustainable source of income for the Hospice which provides care and support for people affected by life-shortening illnesses in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire.
Anne Yendell, Director of Finance & Operations at The Rowans Hospice, said: “Our shops play a key role in the way that we connect with our community. They not only provide a focal point for donations and shopping, but also for obtaining information about our Hospice services and support.”
The 21 shops are located throughout The Rowans Hospice area of care in Bishops Waltham, Cowplain, Drayton, Emsworth, Fareham, Fratton, Gosport, Gunwharf Quays, Havant, Hayling Island, Lee-on-the-Solent, Leigh Park, North End, Petersfield, Portchester, Southsea, Titchfield, Waterlooville and Wickham. In addition there is a bookshop in Southsea and a large furniture warehouse in Farlington. All shops, with the exception of Wickham and Gunwharf Quays, are open six days a week, Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 4.30pm. Wickham is open Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 5.00pm and Sunday 10.00am to 4.30pm and Gunwharf Quays is open Monday to Saturday 10.30am to 6.00pm and Sunday 10.30am to 5.00pm.
