Rowans Hospice Summer Fete
The Rowans Hospice annual Summer Fete takes place on Sunday 6th September from 12.30 to 4pm on Purbrook Heath, opposite the Hospice. Organisers, exhibitors and entertainers are very excited to put on this traditional, family event which promises a fun afternoon with something for everyone including games, gifts and goodies.
The Mayor of Havant will officially open the Summer Fete at 1pm. Arena entertainment includes music, dancing and a fun dog show. There are more than 50 stalls including homemade produce, crafts, games, competitions and also a display of vintage cars. There will, of course, be the usual ice creams, face painting and children’s rides too. Other highlights include The Rowans Hospice Grand Summer Draw which will take place at 3.30pm with a first prize of £1,000 Thomas Cook Holiday Vouchers plus lots of other prizes. Raffle tickets are available for £1 each and are on sale at the Summer Fete until the time of the draw.
Karen Kay, Events Fundraiser at The Rowans Hospice, said: “This event is a lovely day out for all the family and come rain or shine the atmosphere is amazing. We hope that once again our local community will come along and support the Hospice. Although there is no entry fee, please bring along your pennies to enjoy all the fun activities which in turn raise vital funds for local hospice care.
“I would also like to thank all the volunteers who help run the fete; without their dedication and enthusiasm, we would not be able to organise such a wonderful event.”
Entry to the Summer Fete is free and there is organised car parking
