October Half Term Activities

It doesn’t seem like yesterday we were looking for activities to entertain the kids during the summer holidays and now the October Half term is upon us. Here are some suggestions to keep your little ones amused without breaking the bank.

Rainy Games Afternoon

We all know it’s difficult to entertain when it’s raining so why not have an afternoon of board games, whether it’s Connect 4, Junior Scramble or even creating their own game. It’s sure to keep them entertained.

Painting with vegetables

Who said you need to use a paint brush to paint a picture. Why not raid the vegetable draw and get printing with potatoes, broccoli and anything you can find.

Camping in the garden

There is nothing better in the holidays then a sleep over with your best friend! Why not make it interesting and set up camp under the stars. Grab a tent, duvet, pillows and a torch and get camping.

Home Made Pizza

Home-made cooking is a great way of getting the kids thinking about different foods and also an excellent way of preparing dinner.

Why not get them to decide their favourite pizza topping and get making. Then there are no complaints about what’s for dinner!

Nature Trail

There is nothing better than getting your wellies on and getting outside. Why not take a note pad and head to the local park and see what the kids can find. They can look for bugs and different types of plant. You could even write a list of things they may find in the outdoors and get them to find them
