Sense of tradition at festive fair
The sweet sound of Christmas carols will fill the air at Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral on Saturday 5th December for The Rowans Hospice Festive Fair.
Doors open at 6.15pm and the evening will include carols performed by local choirs including the Havant Pitchpipers and Mayville High School Junior Choir. Portsmouth City Brass Band and the Pompey Pluckers are also set to delight the audience with festive tunes.
Following the carols, guests will have the opportunity to shop at the festive fair, featuring everything from Christmas cards and calendars to new and hand-crafted goods and toys.
Denise Fry, community fundraiser at The Rowans Hospice, said: “We are delighted to be holding our annual Carol and Festive Fair event at Portsmouth Cathedral. The choirs and bands will be performing everyone’s favourite Christmas carols, followed by the opportunity to buy cards and gifts. 100% of the profit from the sale will support our services for people affected by life-limiting illnesses in Portsmouth and south east Hampshire.”
Tickets for the event, priced at £5, can be bought in advance from The Rowans Hospice or any of its charity shops.
