Taking the plunge
Six daring fundraisers are being sought to take the plunge in aid of Portsmouth Hospitals Charity.
Salisbury-based Go Skydive is hosting a charity skydive on Saturday 11th June. To take part, fundraisers must pay a £50 registration fee and raise a minimum sponsorship of £395, in aid of a ward or department of your choice at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.
Stuart Barker from Havant, is taking part in the skydive to raise vital funds for the cancer research projects currently being undertaken at QA.
Stuart said: “I am taking part in the skydive for Portsmouth Hospitals Charity with five other members of my family and friends. We chose to fundraise for the cancer research projects at QA as we have been extremely pleased with the care that the doctors, nurses and consultants had given my mother-in-law.
“We are proud to help such an important cause and one which is so close to our hearts. We are eager to help the local community and would like to raise as much money as we can for this important cause.”
Teams of people are welcome. If you would like to sign up for the skydive to raise funds for QA, contact the fundraising team on 02392 286000 Ext: 5927 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
