Can You Help The Hospice - The Directory Group

Can you help the hospice?

The Rowans Hospice is seeking volunteers to donate their time and valuable skills to support its work across the community.

The charity’s next recruitment day takes place on Saturday 7th May, and everyone is welcome – from young people just starting out in the world of work, to those with a lifetime’s wisdom to share.

Hospice volunteers receive training for the role they choose alongside ongoing support – ensuring they are given the skills and guidance needed to make a difference within the charity.

You could choose to work within the hospice, at one of the Rowans Trading Company Shops, in the community as a hospice companion or at fundraising events, helping to raise vital funds for the hospice.

Being a volunteer for The Rowans Hospice is a great way to gain skills, meet new people, take an active role in your community and could even help you develop a career in the charity sector.

All volunteers help the hospice to deliver outstanding care to people with life-limiting conditions, regardless of the role that they take within the organisation.

Each year, through donating their time, talents and skills, every one of the hospice’s  1,500 volunteers help the charity to provide practical and emotional support within the hospice, in people’s homes and in the community.

If you are interested in volunteering for The Rowans Hospice, complete a volunteer application form, available from www.rowanshospice.co.uk and email this to hr@rowanshospice.co.uk
