Simply the best

Rural life takes centre stage in the heart of the Hampshire countryside at the New Forest Show (Tuesday 26th – Thursday 28th July).

Rated as one of the top 10 agricultural shows in the country, the three-day event attracts an average 98,000 visitors and features a huge variety of attractions offering fun for all the family.

Much of the attention will be on the Main Ring, which plays host to the world famous Metropolitan Police Activity Ride, international show jumping, the heavy horse musical drive and the Grand Parade – where The Supreme Champions and other significant winners will be presented with their trophies and prizes together with all the breed representatives parading.

Enjoy a hands-on farmyard experience on the show farm, and take part in interactive encounters with a variety of farmyard animals - from cute, cuddly chicks to friendly rabbits.

Kid’s attractions include the sheep show, which teaches young children all about shearing wool, the show farm - in which kids can enjoy a fully interactive farmyard experience - and the tractor tug of war… which quite literally entails testing your strength against the likes of a vintage tractor!

Meanwhile, a local art show features work from professional and amateur artists from around Hampshire, along with a flower show featuring beautiful flowers grown in the local area, which aims to inspire viewers to be more creative with their own gardens.

Over in the food hall, more than 40 stalls will be selling tempting treats, from fresh-battered fish and chips to British hog roasts - as well as plenty of vegetarian options. There will be an incredible 600 trade stalls selling locally-made products, from jewellery to hand-bags, to home-made local produce.

If none of this grabs your interest, then come along purely for the Guinness World Record attempt of “Most wellington boots thrown simultaneously”!

The show is open between 8.30am and 6.30pm on 26th, 27th and 28th July and located at New Park, Brockenhurst. Tickets will be available for purchase on the gate and are also available online for 15% off until 19th July. For further information and tickets, visit
