Crossing Borders - The Directory Group

Crossing borders

Havant-based vocal harmony group Spirit of the South enjoyed a packed weekend in Scotland with One Acchord.

Both choruses sang together as Crossing Borders, with a good selection of songs including, Boardwalk, One fine day, and Spirit of the South’s new song, Lazy Days.

The concert was well-attended, and the audience also enjoyed a variety of songs from the other choruses, Hooty Oos, The Newcastle Ladies, and of course, One Acchord.

To close the show, Spirit of the South gave a beautiful rendition of ‘The Huron Carol’, ‘Hallelujah’ - a selection from our repertoire – and finished with the lively ‘Hey Soul Sister’.

On the Sunday morning, Spirit of the South were treated to a very special send-off from a lone lady piper playing the bagpipes and a hearty rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne’.

A memorable weekend for all involved.
