In full bloom
A historic Hayling flower shop is celebrating 80 years in business.
Tibble’s Florist is a family-run business based on Hayling Island since the 1930’s. Until 2000, the shop was owned by Peter Tibble, before being taken over by his daughter Debbie, who is a qualified florist with 31 years of experience. Keeping up the family tradition Katie - Debbie’s daughter - joined the family business in 2006 to train and work alongside her mother.
Local MP Alan Mak recently paid a visit to meet Debbie and Katie, who gave the Havant MP a tour of the premises on Elm Grove, which caters for a range of birthdays, summer shows, funerals and weddings. Their distinctive van also delivers the hand-made arrangements to customers across Hayling, Havant, Emsworth and Waterlooville.
Tibble’s Florist owner Debbie Lawley said: “Thanks to our local MP Alan Mak for showing his support as we celebrate our 80th birthday. We’re delighted to have the support of Hayling residents, who have ensured that our family business can continue thriving into its ninth decade!”
