A thought at Christmas
For many of us Christmas is a wonderful time; we are dazzled by glistening lights, excited by unexpected presents, enchanted by smells of mulled apple, cloves and cinnamon, captivated by scenery and music and storylines on good films.
For some the situation is different. At the Kings Arms in Petersfield, we work with a number of different young people. Some are struggling with self-esteem and may be vulnerable to depression or problems with relationships, some struggle with anxiety and don’t want to leave their rooms, some struggle with anger and how to control their temper, some struggle with family situations and the feeling of the inevitable. Some are vibrant, and excitable, and enjoying every moment as it comes. Some are giving, and generous, and look out for others.
At Kings Arms we want to see every young person achieving their best and when they aren’t we are here to stand beside them and help them along.
If you are interested to support us please get in contact. £120 provides a place on a course for a young person to look at self-esteem, anger management or anxiety management. Perhaps you would consider sponsoring a young person on a programme by donating £10 a month for a year.
Wishing you a Happy Christmas.
