The Rowans Hospice is a vital lifeline for so many local people, providing specialist palliative care to those with life-limiting illnesses in south east Hampshire.
Our aim this year was to improve awareness and understanding of this vital local cause, while raising funds along the way.
In February, we took part in Rowans’ Ruby Red Day, dressing up in our finest and each making a donation, and our very own fitness fanatic Jo tackled the Petersfield Ups and Downs cycle ride in the summer in aid of the hospice.
Always poignant, Rowans’ Lake of Lights evening in December offered an opportunity to remember someone special – we were there on the night to provide coverage on social media.
Meanwhile, monthly articles in The Directory have allowed us to focus on the many and varied aspects of the hospice’s work, from the Meerkat Service for young people to volunteering opportunities, and the recently-completed Living Well Centre.
