All of us lead hectic lives in one way or another, often causing us to feel stressed most of the time. Tackle each task one step at a time, but also make sure you do one thing each day for YOU.
2) A good night’s rest
With TVs, tablets, smartphones and so many other gadgets taking up our time and attention, eight hours sleep a night is easier said than done. Switch off the gadgets well before bed and sort out a simple night-time routine.
3) The value of volunteering
Giving your time and energy to those in need – even if it’s only an hour per week – is rewarding in itself, but also offers a perfect opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills.
4) Pen to paper
Writing a book or journal is a great way to get the creative juices flowing – even if it is just a few random thoughts scribbled down in a journal, it may plant the seed of a great idea, or it can even just be a record of things you’ve done or moments you want to remember.
5) Friends reunited
Nowadays it’s easier than ever to find old friends and strike up a new conversation with them. It often happens that two people can drift apart for no good reason, and it just takes one of them to rekindle things.
6) The great outdoors
A walk a day – even if it’s just a 10-minute stride to the shops – can have a positive impact on your mental and physical wellbeing, and gives your mind a chance to switch off.
7) Stand by me
Nothing feels better than seeing a smile on someone, so do your bit to stand by people who need support - every little help matters.
