Victorious Festival is coming up!
With the Victorious Festival on our doorstep in Portsmouth, it really does seem rude not to check it out. The Festival is held on 25th, 26th and 27th of August and the great 2017 Line Up includes Madness, Stereophonics, Olly Murs and Rita Ora.
If you like brilliant live music, Victorious is sure to have something for you. The Common Stage is the Festival’s main stage, sitting on Southsea Common. The Castle Stage sits alongside Southsea Castle– which was once owned by Henry VIII. Listen to some DJs play some tunes in this historic setting, whilst sipping on your bubbly at the popular Southsea Champagne bar. Or for a more chilled out atmosphere visit the Radweb or Rhino AV Acoustic Stages. Pull up a hay bale and enjoy the relaxing vibes.
For something a little different, visit the Real Ale Village. Here shanty music and folk songs are sung whilst you can enjoy a range of ales from local breweries. Or listen to cultural performances from all over the world at the World Music Village. Keen shoppers can find some unique buys in Market Way, as well as tasting the wide range of street food and pop up bar drinks on offer there.
There is so much to do at Victorious Festival, for both the young and the old. The festival is absolutely family friendly, as shown by its finalist positions in the UK Festival Awards for Best Family Festival in 2014 and 2015 and its nomination again in 2016.
There is even an arena designed specifically for children with a huge range of daily activities. From circus performances and workshops, sing-a-long performances, football coaching, interactive theatre sessions, Ready to Rock music school and arts and crafts, there is plenty for your children to choose from. And what’s even better, every activity in the Kids Arena is absolutely free!
One of the best things about Victorious Festival is that it is so close to us. You can take a shower and drive the short ride to and from the festival each day or pack up your pyjamas, set up your tent and stay for the whole weekend. It is completely up to you!
