Gardens to visit this season...

Make the most out of the dwindling summers sun this September with a visit to one of our stunning local gardens.

Uppark House and Garden
Located on its vantage point towering on the South Downs ridge, Uppark has views as far as the English Channel.  The cherished gardens are being progressively restored to their original 18th-century design, with ample space in the neighbouring meadow to play and unwind with a picnic. The garden is incredibly picturesque, mainly consisting of foliage, with flowering shrubs, bulbs, perennials and herbaceous plants in a copse & down land scenery.

The Garden is open from 10am to 5pm daily in July, August, September and October. The address is South Harting, Petersfield, West Sussex, GU31 5QR. For admission prices, visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/uppark-house-and-garden or call 01730 825415 for details.

Hinton Ampner
This sophisticated country manor and peaceful garden sit pleasantly within the countryside. The garden has become the main attraction as of late, and for good reason, as it brings together a formal layout with varied and informal plants in a series of outdoor areas in colours ranging from greens, creams, and yellows, through to hot pinks, oranges and deep reds.

The Garden is open from 10am to 5pm daily all year round. The address is Hinton Ampner House, Hinton Ampner, Alresford SO24 0LA. For admission prices, visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/hinton-ampner or call 01962 771305 for details.
