Port Solent's Festival of Christmas
Eat, drink, be merry and feel the festive cheer this weekend at Port Solent’s annual Festival of Christmas.
For the sixth year running, Port Solent will be hosting its Festival of Christmas from 10am – 6pm on Saturday 9th December and from 10am – 4pm on Sunday 10th December. The festival will include free festive entertainment, live music, street theatre, a Christmas market with over 70 stalls of beautiful gifts and tasty food and drink, and more.
Portsmouth band ‘Around the Edges’, ‘Local Vocals Southsea’ and ‘Fine Voice Academy’ will be entertaining guests throughout the day on Saturday, making them truly rock around the Christmas tree. Sam the Christmas juggler will also be roaming the centre impressing visitors with his talents, joined by balloon modeller, Steve King and festive costumed characters.
On Sunday, female barbershop group, ‘The Pitch Pipers’ will be spreading Christmas cheer with classic barbershop tunes and rock ‘n’ roll, followed by a variety of festive tunes from local ukulele band, ‘Pompey Pluckers’. Port Solent also has its very own little drummer boy in the form of Samba band, ParaSamba who will be drumming up excitement from 1pm. Stilt performance artist, Bridie the Trolley Dolly and Camilla the balloon modelling fairy will also be roaming the centre on Sunday, making guests feel fun and festive. Kids will also have the chance to have a festive face paint throughout the weekend.

There will be over 70 market stalls available to shop from at the Festival of Christmas full of bespoke gifts – perfect for treating loved ones this Christmas, including festive homeware, clothing, jewellery, homemade products, handmade crafts and so much more. Visitors can also have a stress-free trip with free on-site parking, allowing time for shopping and grabbing a bite to eat at one of the centre’s many bars and restaurants.
On Sunday 10th December, car fans attending the festival can also take part in Port Solent’s fortnightly car meet, giving them the chance to see an impressive array of cars and talk motors with like-minded petrolheads.
