Make your Christmas perfect with Hampshire Farmers’ Market

Wrap up warm and enjoy a stroll through the winter markets this Christmas.

The Hampshire Farmers’ Market hosts numerous events at Romsey, Alton, Ringwood, Southsea, Petersfield and Emsworth, with two monthly markets in Winchester.

Offering the perfect opportunity to do a spot of Christmas shopping the events are accommodating to individuals and families.

Pick a treat for yourself or purchase some excellent local produce for another, there is certain to be something to accommodate your interests.

If you are looking to fill up your Christmas stockings with some unique, locally made presents there will be plenty to pick up at the markets throughout December.

Sarah Champion of Choose Chocolate creates delicious and mouth-watering bars and sticks in numerous flavours. The chocolate company will offer a Premium 10 Stick Box at £15.

Sinah Honey will be selling gift boxes of their tasteful honey produced by bees at Hayling Island. The box will include their spring clover based creamed honey and their clear summer wildflower honey. A traditional hardwood crafted honey drizzler in the box completes the set well. These can be purchased at Emsworth on the 16th December and Southsea on 17th December for just £12.50.

And for those who appreciate a drink they can explore a local gin. Two of the county’s gin distilleries will encourage you to bag a bottle of Silent Pool’s gin at Alton at numerous events across this month.

Plus let’s not forget the all-important real Christmas tree. You can pick up a fresh fir tree from Meon Valley Christmas Trees at the market just in time for the holiday season.

Alex Handford, Business Manager at Hampshire Farmers’ Market, says: “Visitors to our markets love the fact they are buying local and especially the freshness of the fruit and vegetates, often picked just the day before the market.

Excellent local produce with guaranteed freshness is certain to impress. With plenty happening for the whole family the continually growing market presents tradition and festivities.
