Reduce, reuse and recycle says green party to students

Eleanor Hill and Ed Broomfield from the East Hampshire Green Party visited Treloar’s on 15th November to spread their message of reduce, reuse, recycle to a group of Treloar School students.

Eleanor showed students a video regarding the harm of single use plastic and brought examples of alternatives, including mushroom-based packaging and an egg carton made partially from grass.

A lively question and answer session followed their presentation, including several questions about electric cars.

Many of the students found the presentation informative. Comments included: “I thought the egg box made from grass was cool” and “It was a good idea to have a reusable bag to carry around just in case you needed one”.
