Open day at GP practice allowed patients to explore modern premises

An open day for patients of two merged and neighbouring GP practices across the Cowplain area took place last month.

The event for patients at Oaks Healthcare, which took place on January 27, was available to those who use their two premises less than half-a-mile apart.

Held at its main site at London Road, Karen Jeffries, business manager for Oaks Healthcare, which was previously Cowplain Family Practice and Queenswood Surgery, says the day allowed patients to explore its more modern location.

She said: “Staff showed patients around the building and some of the GPs and management staff were on hand to talk to patients about the forthcoming changes and answer any questions.”

The open day aimed for patients currently registered at Queenswood would move to the other site, which is more modern offering better accessibility for people with a disability.
