Quiz night returns by popular demand

The Holiday Inn Winchester is encouraging people from the Alton and Alresford area to attend its third special charity fundraising event for two Hampshire based charities with their popular Curry and Quiz event on 19th April.

The two organisations that will benefit from the event are Trinity Winchester, which provides vital practical and emotional support to more than 600 people each year who are experiencing the effects of homelessness.

The second charity is Hounds for Heroes which provides specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK Armed Forces and Emergency Services.

The hotel has supported both charities for many years.

The hotel has also been sponsoring Hounds for Heroes for more than four years, providing free accommodation and training space for the injured veterans to train with their new assistance dogs.

Sarah Waddington, spokesperson at the hotel, said: “Our first curry and quiz fundraiser quickly sold out and those who came wanted regular return matches and to sample our award-winning chef’s amazing Indian buffet again.

“So, by popular demand, we have decided to have another fund-raising event for two very special charities.”
