Warrior Camp at Butser Ancient Farm
A clan of young warriors will once again take over Butser Ancient Farm this summer, led by ex-Marine and local teacher Keith Page MBE.
After three successful years of Warrior Camps at Butser, in which children have been able to develop a range of outdoor skills and crafts, this year the programme has expanded to include four different camps.
The camps involve a wide range of skills and challenges, including raft building, fire lighting, hunting, cooking, shelter building and orienteering.
Keith Page is an ex-Marine and well-known local teacher in the area, having taught at a number of schools and in extra-curricular clubs, sharing his knowledge of bushcraft, survival skills and the outdoors.
Keith is also keen to develop the skills of individuals who want to further themselves and has invited previous Warrior Camp attendees to help with camps the following years, allowing them to develop new skills in leadership and teamwork.
A warrior graduate from 2017 said: “Thank you so much on behalf of my son and I, who had an amazing time taking part in Warrior Camp. He was so happy to get out of bed in the morning and loved every minute of it.”
