Indoor charity market set to raise cash for The Rocky Appeal
A giant indoor Easter Charity Market is to be held in Petersfield Festival Hall on Easter Saturday, March 31st with 70 stalls.
The traditional family-run event will mark 30 years of fundraising in aid of Portsmouth Hospitals Rocky Appeal for digital keyhole operating theatres of the future and other local good causes.
The Rocky Appeal is trying to fund the final £180,000 cost of the £2.4 million Da Vinci Robot, which uses the most sophisticated technology available in a wide range of difficult surgery at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.
Stallholders will be supporting the event with collectables, bric-a-brac, toys, greetings cards and jewellery. Easter gifts, cakes, marmalade and hand knitted novelties will also be on sale and a giant book stall will be set up in the main hall.
A raffle is to be held in the foyer and a café will serve refreshments. Admission to the market is free and is open 9.30am to 3pm. Bookings for stalls whether charity, craft or trade are all welcome on 01730 264802.
