Explosion of colour set to entertain crowds at Emsworth

There will be an explosion of colour at Emsworth this year as the local Arts Trail plan to showcase the exciting and varied work from across the area.

The Emsworth Arts Trail will hold its events on 28th and 29th April, as well as the 5th, 6th and 7th May.

From home studios to community halls, businesses, sailing clubs and churches, artists will open their doors to art lovers at the popular annual arts trail.

More than 100 local artists will have their work on display.

Most venues are located within a mile of Emsworth’s town centre. By walking or cycling, visitors will be able to meet artists and have a chance to purchase their work.

Carol Price, who is the chairperson of the Emsworth Arts Trail, says there will be something for everyone at the event.

She said: “A full spectrum of mediums and styles including painting, printmaking, photography, furniture making, weaving, woodturning, ceramics, jewellery and textile art will be on display.

“We have lots of exciting new artists and makers this year, offering something new to visitors, alongside many established names that have been part of the trail since its launch in 2001,”
