Thousands to line the street of Emsworth for St Georges Day
Thousands of people are set to line the streets of Emsworth later this month for the annual St George's Day Parade.
The event, which will take place from 10:30am at Emsworth High Street, will be conducted by 16 Regiment Royal Artillery and Band of the Royal Artillery.
Onlookers will be able to watch the Regiment march along with street entertainment and a street collection for SSAFA.
SSAFA is the Armed Forces charity which exists to relieve need, suffering and distress amongst the Armed Forces, veterans and their families in order to support their independence and dignity.
It is the UK's oldest national tri-service military charity.
The event is overseen by Emsworth Life and is supported by Monster, Emsworth Residents' Association, Havant Borough Council, Hampshire County Council and others from across the area.
The Mayor of Havant, councillor Elaine Shinbart, will attend the event as a special guest. For anyone searching for a truly patriotic event - this St George's Parade is an excellent place to be.
Emsworth is a small town which is bustling with activity from local bars and restaurants, to independent shops. The event is an excellent morning for all the family.
