Kick yourself into shape with new sport initiative
A new and unique initiative aimed to encourage people to get into shape whilst playing football is about to kick off with a new programme being launched in the borough.
Organised by Hampshire FA in partnership with Havant Borough Council, the 12 week programme will offer a combination of weekly football sessions with expert advice on weight management and lifestyle choice.
The cost will be at £2 a week, with sessions held every Wednesday from 5.30pm at Front Lawn Community Hub, Leigh Park.
Councillor Leah Turner, Cabinet Lead for Communities and Housing, said: “We at Havant Borough Council are pleased to support this initiative in partnership with the Hampshire FA, which will provide football fun whilst exercising at our new Front Lawn Community Hub.
"All Havant Borough residents are invited to register and take part.”
At the end of the program participants will receive a free kit and are encouraged to keep on playing.
