Local businesses shine at Rowlands Castle networking event
A networking event in Rowlands Castle aimed at bringing businesses together to sell their local produce to other companies was a success at Stansted Park.
More than 40 members of Hampshire Fare had the opportunity to offer tastings and information about their products to chefs and buyers at the event, as well as connecting to other producers.
Fred Duncannon, who owns the Stansted Park Farm Shop and hosted the evening, says it is important to continue to source the best local produce.
He said: “Sourcing the very best local produce for our customers has always been the main priority for us at Stansted Park Farm Shop.
“It was fantastic to be able to welcome members of Hampshire Fare to the shop to show them what we are doing to sing the praises of the county’s food and drink.
“We spoke to every producer this evening and feel inspired by the passion behind Hampshire’s food scene, we hope to work with many of the businesses in the future.”
Monthly Hampshire Fare networking events take place at various locations throughout the year. They offer an opportunity for people involved in local food and farming to connect and discuss progress.
Tracy Nash, Commercial Manager of Hampshire Fare, believed the event was a success.
She said: “This beautiful farm shop is the result of a clear vision, hard work, determination and loyal supporters. The owners’ commitment to local produce is exemplary and we hope this evening’s producers have provided them with yet more inspiration.”
