Volunteers needed at West Meon churchyard team

A West Meon churchyard team is looking for more people to help with clearing its outdoor spaces once a month.

The group based St John’s Church, on Church Lane, West Meon, is asking people to volunteer for a couple of hours every four weeks.

Open green-spaces in the middle of the village are currently managed by a small team of volunteers.

However, more support would be welcomed.

An event online on Saturday 29th May, at 9.30am to 11.30am, describes: “We have a wonderful green space in the middle of our village that needs looking after, our team is currently very small and could do with extra help.

“There are many varied and interesting tasks to do from strimming to weeding.

“Come along, there is good company, great refreshments, fresh air and great results, whatever time you can spare will make a difference.”
