Write your will and support The Rowans Hospice
By writing your will this month you could be supporting The Rowans Hospice. The hospice’s annual Make-a-Will Fortnight returns from 4th until 15th June 2018 and aims to ensure loved ones and important items are looked after.
During Make-a-Will Fortnight, numerous organisations waive their fee for writing a ‘basic’ or ‘simple’ will to offer their services free of charge.
Instead, those writing their will would make an equivalent donation to the Rowans Hospice.
Julian Thomas, head of legacy and trust giving the hospice, which supports people with life-limiting conditions said one-third of people over 55-years-old do not have a will.
They said: “As a consequence, when they die, their property and assets such as savings may not be passed on to their loved ones as they might hope and expect.
“We would always recommend people to take professional advice when drawing up their will, which is why we are delighted that 14 solicitors and will-writers are making their services available to help their community – and the hospice.”
