Local charity helping deaf preschool children learn to listen & talk

Local charity helping deaf preschool children learn to listen & talk. Founded by parents of a deaf child over 35 years ago The Elizabeth Foundation is a national charity based in Cosham supporting young children with all degrees of hearing loss learn to listen & talk.

Having a hearing loss can significantly affect a child’s ability to communicate. However, with modern technology and appropriate intervention during their early years, most deaf children can learn to communicate clearly and effectively using spoken language. We provide our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ educational services for babies, toddlers and preschoolers to offer young children with hearing loss the best possible start in life.

Zach’s mum said “My son couldn’t hear me and I didn’t know how to help him. We were welcomed with open arms into a centre which would take away my fears, and achieve with Zach what I had feared was unachievable. I shall never forget the day he said ‘Mummy’ for the first time”

We receive no statutory grants or ongoing government funding. For more information please contact The Elizabeth Foundation call 02392 322163 or email fundraising@elizabeth-foundation.org
