Student from Horndean raises £1100 for Little Princess Trust
Well done to Georgia Brickell, Year 11 student from Hordean, for raising £1100 for Cancer Research UK, by shaving her hair off. Georgia’s hair will be sent to the Little Princess Trust to help make wigs for children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. She States:
“There have been a lot of people in my family that have been effected by cancer. I feel very proud of myself and I am really happy and surprised with the amount of money that I raised”"
Reflecting on the tragedies of family members and her daughter’s reaction to them, Georgia’s mum, Karen couldn’t be prouder! Little Princess Trust states:
“We are delighted to have seen a huge increase in hair received following sponsored haircuts."
"We have made a few changes to our guidelines as we would now like to be able to make more wigs of a much longer length”.
There are many ways that you can raise funds and there is a fundraising pack available to assist you. Visit www.littleprincesses.org.uk for more information!
