Hallowe’en Half Term Fun!

Monday 22 - Friday 26 October

At the Weald & Downland Living Museum

Visit the Weald & Downland Living Museum in Singleton, near Chichester, for half term fun with a Hallowe’en theme. From Monday 22 - Friday 26 October, children can get hands-on with a great range of activities around the Museum’s beautiful 40-acre site.

Activities vary daily and plan to include: pumpkin carving, face painting, spine-tingling stories, scary eyes pumpkin hunt, floating ghosts, paper pumpkins, leaf clay dish, playdough, string mummies, plus many more make and take home activities. Visiting children are encouraged to wear fancy dress for their visit and each will receive a free sweet treat from our lucky dip.

Most activities are included in the admission price (free for Annual Members) and those that have a small charge are clearly marked on the daily activity sheet.

The Museum’s collection of over 50 historic buildings are fascinating places to explore – learn how food was prepared without modern technology in the Tudor kitchen, visit the working watermill and see the Victorian smithy in action. There are Shire and Percheron horses, plus traditional breed farm animals, including Sussex oxen, Sussex Light chickens and Embden geese.

Activities run from 11am - 3pm daily and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please wear clothes and shoes that are suitable for playing outdoors. Wet weather won’t spoil play as activities will take place indoors or under cover. The Museum’s waterside café will be open, plus there are indoor and outdoor picnic areas.

Standard Museum admission prices apply (free for Annual Members of the Museum). Dogs on short leads are welcome and there is ample free parking. Visitors with disabilities are advised to read the Museum’s accessibility web page in advance of their visit: www.wealddown.co.uk/visit/accessibility/.
