British Heart Foundation opens new shop in Cosham

 

A NEW shop has opened in a Portsmouth high street, as the British Heart Foundation opens a brand-new store. Opening in September, shoppers in Cosham High Street were welcomed with a cutting of the ribbon ceremony , while customers from the surrounding area headed down to bag some bargains from the new store.

The shop will help the British Heart Foundation to fund innovative life-saving research into heart and circulatory disease. Area manager Preston Davies said: ‘The opening of the new Cosham shop went extremely well. ‘Each item sold will help the British Heart Foundation fund life-saving heart research, so if you haven’t yet visited, please do come by to see what great bargains are on offer.

The shop are welcoming more donations, so if you have any unwanted clothing, toys or books do bring them down! 

Charity shops across the UK are working towards a new initiative of helping people find clothing for job interviews. 650 charity shops across the UK will now have a dedicated ‘dress to impress’ section, where they will have smart and formal clothes specifically put out for job interviews and important meetings in mind.

Staff in these stores will also be able to advise customers on which items to choose for interviews and career prospects, and each of these items will be under £10 to ensure they are affordable for everyone.
