The RNLI in Hayling Island are recruiting volunteer lifeboat crew now!

Volunteers from Hayling Island lifeboat station are looking for new crew members to be part of their life saving team and are inviting you to their recruitment open events on Wednesday 3 April and Sunday 7 April.

The RNLI at Hayling Island is calling for people from all walks of life to help crew the lifeboats and assist with launch and recovery when they go on service. Jonathan Bradbury, RNLI volunteer Lifeboat Operations Manager, is keen to stress that you don’t need to have sea-going experience to get involved with the RNLI.

Jonathan continues, “We are looking for people aged 17 to 60 years old, who are living or working south of the ‘Lidl’ roundabout in Hayling Island. We have a particular need for people able to respond to service calls during the daytime, but would like to hear from anyone interested in joining our crew”.

The RNLI provides fantastic training to turn ordinary people into lifesavers and by volunteering; people will gain great experience, knowledge and skills; as well as making a di erence in their community and ultimately saving lives.

People interested in volunteering for the RNLI are invited to call in to the lifeboat station on Wednesday 3 April at 7pm or on Sunday 7 April at 10am.
