Over the years we have supported many charities including Cancer Research UK, Children in Need, Smile 4 Wessex, Comic Relief, Cystic Fibrosis, The Rowans Hospice – to name a few! – and this month we are so excited to be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support and their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning!

Last year, Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raised an incredible £26,914,382 and they're aiming to top that this year. One in two of us will face cancer in our lifetime, so having or attending a coffee morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa, enjoy some gorgeous treats and help Macmillan be there for people facing cancer.

Fancy taking part in the World’s BIGGEST Coffee Morning to help raise vital funds? All you need to do is gather your fellow tea, coffee and cake lovers today and sign up to host your own coffee morning!

Here’s our 5 tips on how you can host a great coffee morning:

1.      Pick a time and place

Although it’s in the name, there’s no need to hold your event in the morning or even on the official date (Friday 27th September). Host in the afternoon, evening or all day long on any date you fancy. Just plan a time and a place and then invite as many guests as you can!

2.      Ask for help

Whether it's baking, making or even faking! Share the load with friends, family or colleagues and ask them to bring something each.

3.      Mix it up

Some hosts have had garden get-togethers, prosecco parties, as well as the classic morning filled with coffee and cake. However you want to host, big or small, host it your way.

4.      Have trouble raising the dough?

Have your moneybox clearly displayed and have signs for suggested donations for your cake, coffee and games.

5.      Celebrate your success

Send out a text or email to your guests letting them know how much they’ve helped raise for Macmillan. Or, download and post some of Macmillan’s handy thank you templates.
