Have a go at something new at Spring into Health 2022

There is something to improve your mind, body and soul at Spring into Health this April and May.

The month-long event, held in Whitehill & Bordon, offers residents a chance to try a new activity, pick up a new skill and make a few new friends along the way.

Co-ordinated by East Hampshire District Council, the packed calendar of more than 80 events includes kids’ clubs, cookery classes, woodland walks, grow your own gardening and even a pie and pint evening.

There’s something for everyone to try, with sessions planned online and in person - and with a new digital calendar it’s never been easier to get involved.

Julie Butler, EHDC Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Welfare and Community Integration, said: “Spring into Health is a great showcase for all the fantastic community activities there are on offer around Whitehill & Bordon.

“There’s an incredible diversity of opportunities just waiting for people to try out in the town and this event gathers them all together for one month of fun and friendship.

“There are classes to give you some exercise, such as walking and dance, and there are sessions to improve your mental health, such as wellbeing workshops.

“There are classes for children and there are social get-togethers that are purely a great way to meet new people and make some new friends.

“It’s a great event which will bring everyone in Whitehill & Bordon together."

The calendar of events can be found online on EHDC’ website - www.easthants.gov.uk/spring-into-health. Events run from Monday 18 April until Sunday 15 May.

If you are not online then you can ask for help at various venues around town, including Bordon Library, Hogmoor Inclosure, Café 1759 and the Forest Community Centre.
